When he announced he was running and he said "The children get first grabs on the Treasury" that was it for me as far as I'm concerned.

I heard that also. Former (Los Angeles) Mayor Dick Riorden, a Republican, said basically that he was going to re-shape the Republican Party once he became governor.
Unfortunately for him, he said it before the Primary, and saw his large lead vanish, before getting trounced.
Maybe Arnold's role models is the Illinois Republican Party, where the Chairman rides on the lead float, during Chicago's Gay Pride Parade.
Like Mr. Riorden, Arnold is about to get his head handed to him by mainstream Republicans. Celebrity-appeal will only get him so far - and not far enough.

My thought exactly. It's frightening that some folks are so star struck they don't care what he advocates or does, so long as they get to claim the Gropernator as a Republican.
