Americans who hold to traditional values are expressing outrage this Christmas over the enemies of this country's Judeo-Christian heritage, who seek to completely expunge any vestige of that heritage from their midst.
Almost everywhere they look, believers are confronted with the legal actions of zealous individuals who display outright hostility towards Biblical symbols of the Christmas season, while simultaneously encouraging every possible alternative, whether secular or otherwise.
At the heart of the controversy is the American Civil Liberties Union.
By its actions of recent years, the ACLU has proven that it not only knows how to use the law as a weapon to destroy freedom, but that it obsessively endeavors to do so. Recent experience also shows that in those cases where its goals aren't supported by the law, fear and intimidation will suffice.
This is why the ACLU continues to threaten school districts and other municipalities with legal retribution over issues such as student-led Bible studies on public property, despite legal precedent that favors the rights of students to engage in such activity.
For far too long, the ACLU has gotten away with its iron-fisted tactics on the absurd notion that it is upholding the "Establishment Clause" of the First Amendment. But contrary to the ACLU's present day assertions, America's founders never intended that clause as a license to expunge every vestige of religious thought from public life.
The real intention of "Establishment Clause" was simply to guarantee that the Congress could not legally compel citizens to subscribe to a particular religious or philosophical doctrine.
The notion that the founders might have been worried by the possibility of anyone "taking offense" at religious teachings or symbols is nothing more than a modern-day fabrication.
But, having successfully constructed just such a caricature of the Establishment Clause, the ACLU now claims responsibility for ensuring that certain individuals and groups go through life in America without ever being "offended."
And since every conceivable action holds the potential to "offend" somebody, a decision must be made as to which actions do and don't constitute legitimate cases of "offense." Of course, the ACLU presumes itself to be the absolute arbiter of such questions.
Meanwhile, the apostles of "political correctness" diligently spread their religion by way of "sensitivity training" sessions, where subjects are mentally bludgeoned into compliance. These sessions take place at government institutions, from the highest cabinet-level offices to the tiniest rural school districts.
But rather than decry these "tent revivals" of the counterculture, the ACLU supports them, and in some cases, demands that they be conducted.
While proper codes of conduct have always been a fitting part of any reasonable working environment, "sensitivity training" is clearly intended to accomplish far more.
Ultimately, its goal is nothing less than to instill an immutable structure of ideas into its participants. Though an absolute affront to anything traditionally regarded as "religious," it promotes a mindset that is every bit as foundational to the counterculture as the Bible is to believing Christians.
In the public arena, these tactics are justified as a desperate defense against the "dangers" of an America eventually ruled by omnipotent Bible-believing dictators. Yet, in the meantime, it is the ACLU that is amassing and increasingly wielding just such power, aided and abetted by the collusion of activist courts and the extra-constitutional decisions they now willingly hand down.
The real danger to America's future does not emanate from a display of the Christ Child on the courthouse lawn anymore than it does from the verses of a Christmas Carol. Rather, it is present in any governing entity that presumes the authority to control thought.
A government that will forcibly eradicate any particular creed is one that will just as forcibly supplant that creed with one of its own.

If we arent endowed by our CREATOR with unalienable rights, where do they come from? Washington DC? Are they really alienable?
What do you call 1000 ACLU Lawyers chained to the bottom of the ocean?
A good start!
Merry Christmas.
THAT and George Soros and his ilk.
Yep, we need to defund them.
Yes. The loophole I'm taklking about was inacted in 1988.
Why shouldn't it be made public knowledge how much money they have been given over the years. Its our money.
That information would really make this a hot issue.
Worldnetdaily.com is on this like white on rice. The Dec.Whistle Blower mag is a must read.
I think partially, but they receive donations from leftist misguided fools.
Was just days before Christmas and all through the Union the
attorneys was busy watching what school children was doin
Preparin' their cases so they could rake in the money Most
of 'em felt it was really quite funny-then in the Supreme Court I heard somebody mutter --the ACLJ would be earnin' its' butter; Jay Sekulo looked like he could eat them for lunch-defending the Christians from that cruel-evil bunch;
A Christmas creche set up as a carol they sang -then America heard as our Liberty Bell rang; It's time for the Christians to stand firm and fight -and rid all this nation from the ACLUs dark blight-with a wink I heard Mr.Sekulo say
Merry Christmas to all It's the American way.
ACLU should be declared subversive and then disbanded!
I think the aclu's days are numbered. This is the straw that broke the camels back.
From your lips to God's ears. Merry CHRISTmas!
ALong with the U.N.
Ops4 God BLess America!
LOL. It has been ever thus.
As written by William Shakespeare...
"The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers"
King Henry the Sixth, Part II (Act IV, Scene II)
Merry Christmas to you, Jay.
Merry Christmas!
In a postmodern world where people's thoughts shift from the view that God created the world, to the marginalization of God as creator and the acceptance of scientific explanation for all things, Christianity faces increased challenges to bridge the gap between the unchanging truth of the Bible and the culture of today.
Christmas is known all over the world (where Christianity has reached) as the celebration of Jesus birth. In the United States, a largely Christian country, it has long been celebrated without much opposition, but all that is sadly changing.
We hear of increasing demands from atheist groups, the ACLU, and other organizations that fear offending non-Christians wit the use of the word "Christmas", and thus prefer the use of non descriptive words such as "holiday." A young lady was reprimanded at work recently as she wrote the invitations for the company's "Christmas" party, and told vehemently she needed to change the word "Christmas" to "Holiday," so the company would not be accused as "discriminatory"; against attending non-Christians!!!!
My question to such organization is, if Christmas is so offensive, why even have a party during the Christmas season!
The often misquoted words of Thomas Jefferson come to mind as I tried to understand what is happening: "Believing with you that religion is a matter which lies solely between man and his God, that he owes account to none other for faith or his worship, that the legislative powers of government reach actions only, and not opinions, I contemplate with solemn reverence that act of the whole American people which declared that their legislature should 'make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,' thus building a wall of separation between Church and State."
Thomas Jefferson's words explicitly state "or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"; yet, our Judges doing just that, when Christians are not able to freely express their Christian beliefs for fear of offending someone else.
What Jefferson meant is that people of any and all religions are free to express their religious views without sanction or sponsorship from the government. That is all. What is happening is that the atheist movement and the ACLU are using those words of Jefferson to mean that government cannot allow people to "acknowledge" God instead of meaning that the government cannot "establish A government religion." There is a big difference between the two, yet people are being duped daily into believing that the two are the same. The practice of Christianity is being sanctioned or prohibited by government and other organizations, and we are allowing it to happen.
I say, by all means, celebrate CHRISTMAS!!!! It is the celebration of Jesus birth. For those of you who don't like the word Christmas why would you want a celebration around this time anyway?
Oh, I know, you don't want to be left out of the Christmas party, but it is OK to leave out the Honored Guest? Now, does that make sense? If it was your birthday party, what would you think if they left you out for fear of offending your enemy attendees? Have your "whatever" party if you must at the time of your choice, that is your right after all, but don't ruin our Christmas celebration for us Christians who choose to honor the Lord Jesus Christ as The Reason for the season.
Also, yes, the ACLU needs to be abolished if Americans want any hope of being able to freely practice Christianity in this age.
Wishing you fellow Christians, a wonderful Christmas Season, and by all means call it CHRISTMAS!!!!!
