Freepers, I know I don't have to ask for your prayers--you all offer them so readily.

You've got them.

Some anti-depressants can help.

One layman's caveat here. (And I'm not against these drugs in general). With some antidepressants, diminished appetite, a common side-effect, is obviously a Bad Thing under the circumstances.

As they say, "ask your physician."

It depends on the anti-depressant. Prozac can be effectively used in treating eating disorders...but it has to be monitored by someone on a continual basis.

The doctor-plan is rolling...first (GP) appointment Monday, second (Specialist) already booked on Thursday. Considering the time of year, and that we only sprang into action Friday...this is something of a Christmas miracle.
