Then keep him out on the stump, don't put him into elective office.
I guess it depends on the elective office IMO. Yes, he should not become president; however, without Rudy holding elective office, NYC would be much worse than Fallujah. And since New York was the fourth bluest state according to this past election, Rudy as governor or a senator of the Empire State would be very much appreciated . . . at least by me.
