That is my question. If my children are enrolled in a public school I have every right to be there

Well, there is a limit. You can't just have 25 parents walking in and out of a classroom all day long as they please.

Of course not but, you can have 25 or even more parents volunteering in different capacities daily making their presence known. In my daughter's school this is not uncommon.

Seems that they were in the audience, and everything was hunky-dory until they started filming. "Cariani and another parent, Brian Camenker, were in the audience..."
