I doubt that's what the assembly was about. More like "you should respect our mutual differences, look here's a gay person and isn't he normal, so don't say mean things to each other."

If that were only so. Unfortunately and very sadly it is not so. They are taught HOW and that it is normal and healthy. I have known students to drop out of school and wait for an opening in a charter school, they were so repulsed by these programs. And refused to attend a school that promotes these programs. I couldn't blame them.
