You prolonged this doomed thread because of that bolt of brilliance? I think it's time you considered finding something more productive to do with your time, friend.
Look: I showed you what an ass you are and you have yet to defend yourself. Every insipid response you make only bumps your stupidity for new readers. Maybe I'll make a spelling error. That would show everybody just how witty you are.
So, your point is that I can't make a point and that I'm an ass . . .
Based on what?
Based on the fact that you are unable to address specific questions. Try using your back button. It may help you find a clue.
No. Put up or shut up.
" . . . independent study or home schooling are easy options."
No they're not. My mother started homeschooling my siblings years ago in order to let them skip ahead a year, but because she's so busy working, they're left on their own to study, which means they get away with learning next to nothing. I worry about whether they'll do well in high school, or be accepted into a good college.
And even if parents do take this option, what about all the kids whose parents are less concerned about their welfare? Just because their parents let the state teach them, does that mean they should be brainwashed by the liberals. I've attended American public schools since second grade, and believe me, they do indoctrinate you with certain philosophical ideas (the Civil Rights movement gets almost as much attention as the rest of history combined, tolerance and open-mindedness are preached constantly, etc.).
I also worry that alternate types of education will be viewed with suspicion and contempt, especially as the difference between them and public schools increases.
On a happier note, each year my high school allows Aim For Success assemblies to be held, which promote abstinence until marriage as a safer, healthier lifestyle.
