They do not hold up to the acid, lime and the other ingredients in mortar mix as well as Levi's do. The only other brand that I buy is Carhartt. That is the beauty of America. Interesting. I work in the cement industry. We mine all the raw materials and make that grey powdery stuff called cement (along with differnt tpyes of mortar) and you'll be hard pressed to find a pair of Levi's out here.
When you do they are being worn by
1.) One of the girls payroll or
2.) Somebody from the home office down in Phoenix.
For those who get down and dirty it's either Carhart's or, most commonly, Wrangler's.
