True, but some of us don't have the funds to send our kids to private school or to home school them--I live 80 miles north of New York City and the cost of living alone is exorbitant; my husband is an attorney and I work at a non-profit--we drove 10 year old cars and don't indulge in a luxury life at all. Plus, if we abandon the public schools, they will become madrassahs and the islamic threat will only grow. Parents of kids in public schools-STAND UP! Even if you are the only one, others will follow. I did it in my daughter's public school on an issue of inclusion of Ramadan in the Winter Holiday Concert (a holiday otherwise known as Christmas) and I will never stop fighting. This story in SC makes me absolutely sick.
Excellent! May I use it?

Screw CAIR -- they are doing nothing but working to impose the "muslim way" upon the rest of us.
Hi tex
Just saw this--disgusting. This teacher must be stopped. Even those without kids in public schools should join the fight. You can put your kids in private schools or home school, but there is still a danger from the public schools. I've said it in an earlier post; they will simply become terrorist madrassahs and a danger to the community. Stand or fall.
Yes, even those of us with older children have to be all over this.
Someday our grandchildren will be facing this, if we don't act now.
That sounds 100 % true. If you are serious about this, let us create an attractive pamphlet with the references to the verses in Quran and the violent Islamic history. Probably, like those 527 groups, will you guys in USA be able to advertise on the Cable Network channels or any thing of that sort?
Sure.
"advocates death for individuals who attempt fellow cult members;"
Should read "advocates death for individuals who attempt to convert fellow cult members to another religion;
Also, poster ideas would be a big help. It looks like this may be a huge protest. Such a pamphlet could be used by FReepers all over the country.
I doubt if Public Boradcasting in the U.S. would permit it. They are far left-wing.
Incidentally, the University of Michigan has a website where they have several books of renown on line. Each book has a search engine. You can find the Quran or Koran or whatever there. Just plug in "unbelievers", "Christians" or "Jews" into the search engine and it says it all. It extracts the passages with those words in them. Its an eye-opener.
However, I don't know where a similar site on the Haddiths exists. The Haddiths are also Islamic teachings which similarly enlighten non-Muslims about Islamic attitudes and beliefs. In one of the Haddiths, the dog is referred to as an "unclean" animal and Muslims are exhorted to keep dogs out of their homes and avoid touching them as they are "unclean".
I would like to point out that my comments refer to Islam as a belief system and not to all individual Muslims. Like people of many other faiths, there are Muslims who are merely nominal Muslims and don't take their belief system any more seriously than they are required to. There are probably many Muslims who consider themselves good Muslims yet don't adhere to the previsouly stated principles, even though they are orthodox Islamic beliefs. For instance, there have been, and probably still are, Muslims who consume alcohol, although this forbidden in Orthodox Islam.
We are all well aware of so-called "Christians" who deny basic tenets of Christianity, yet consider themselves Christians.
But in general, I would consider Islamic beliefs and Islamic society, as presently consitituted, totally incompatible with western secular, multi-cultural societies who tolerate all religious beliefs.
I hope to have one put together for my own fight with my daughter's public school's lunacy; but probably not by your protest this week. But if you are good with creating brochures using basic software, or know someone who is, take some of the ideas here and go with it. And I have seen some great poster ideas here on FR. "I learned everything I need to know about Islam on 9/11" is a powerful statement. Anyone else have ideas for pistolpaknmama? I am very proud that you are protesting this insanity at the school. I wish I could be there, but I am there in spirit. All we can do is fight back, and as Americans, we excel in fighting back! (and you are a Southerner, too, so you get extra points...)
can you pass along the brochure to me and some others here (pistolpacknmama)? that would be great!
Guys, I have called the Principal's office of this school. I requested why mr. Arastu is permitted in the first place to mislead the kids by discussing about the 5 pillars of Islam. The principal's office has no answer except to say "he does not work here anymore okay?", then I asked the principal that the administration, going forward should promise me not to permit instructors to teach the misleading information that Mr.Arastu was allowed to teach about the historic background of the American constitution, its evolution and the fundamental founding principles of America. The principal seems very irritated and said "don't you hear me, he does not work here anymore". At that point I asked again "are you going to promise me such acts as those perpetrated by Mr.Arastu, teaching Islam in the class won't happen in the class again?" At this repreated question, they hung up on me bluntly.
Please call the school as much as you can and let the school know that, TEACHING THAT ISLAM, LIKE CHRISTIANITY IS ALSO THE FOUNDATION OF AMERICA, as Mr.Arastu was teaching WILL NOT ME TOLERATED.

You got it; let's ring those phones! (wonder why Mr. Arastu is no longer teaching there?)

Bureaocratitis, aka "Blue Wall of silence", aka etc.
When confronted by an unpleasant reality, the tendency of organized groups to either a) ignore the problem as though it doesn't exist, or b) actively discredit those who expose it. (Zulu's unabridged Dictionary)
It is late night here in India. So am getting of the Internet now. But I strongly suggest, that people who care about the future of the civilized countries like USA, India, Israel, South Korea etc should ACT and ACT vigorously in pursuit of the people that promote the violent idealogies as peaceful idealogies-like Mr.Arastu, in this case. So, FReepers, let us not forget to call the school and let them know that PEOPLE ARE WATCHING THEIR ACTIVITIES.
If this is true I would think folks down here would be up in arms.
Thanks for the info---I will email Ralph Bristol also
Islam needs to be banned in this country. It oges well beyond just being another "religion" but easily fits the description of a "subversive organization".
Where is the "Attorney General's List of Subversive Organizations" nowadays when we need it?
