So it "indirectly" does, then? As if the bible has nothing to say about opposing injustice and evil of any kind.

Marriage signifies the union between Christ and the Church. I believe this alone would directly oppose the abuse of women. I know there must be more examples, just dont have a bible handy to look them up.
