And Tom Cruise was married to Nicole Kidman. Both gentlemen are protective of their careers, and I applaud them for that. I have no problem with OB, just wondering how, or if, sexual orientation is addressed in Buddhism.

However, being agnostic, I get my fair share of abuse from people who think that I believe in nothing, or that I am just a bitter person taking out my anger against religion, neither of which is correct and I often find it necessary to explain.

When Richard Gere and his fellow Hollywood “Buddhists” met with the Dalai Lama a few years ago, they were shocked to hear his conservative views on such issues as sexual relations (not until marriage), abortion (very against) and homosexuality (also very against). Maybe that’s why so many have been turning to the Kabbala lately. But again, real Jewish scholars whom I’ve met have nothing but absolute contempt for the Hollywood version.
