Should have guessed something was up. This morning there was a soundbite on ABC radio with the mom or wife or sister (can't remember) saying "If he says he didn't have supplies he didn'thave supplies". Fine, but why would anyone have doubted he was shooting straight in the first place?

Since the soldier was here in the states, it was clear he was not asking the question from experience.
