In leadership a person has to work with the resources he has, not the ones he wishes he had. And there are times when the best decision is far less than the one that appears ideal. The President is a realist -- as leader, and as a visionary.
I have come, over the past 4 years, to understand that when I don't know what the President is doing or why, I can trust his character and his judgment. He is my elected leader, that is why I elected him, and he has not let me down; and I know he is not perfect.
If you feel as passionately about Mineta as you do, then use whatever influence you have (as you are here) and with your representatives to influence our government for the better. It's your privilege.
