Oh my God ... how .. how could this be?
Pieces not fitting means other parts unseen in play.
No anti-Bush on here, huh? No offense...can't you read? They screamed that this proves what they say about him, that he's a RINO. They said he's never been a conservative, just like they told us, and this proves it. They said he's just like his daddy and did this to please the Democrats, which must be why he is justifiably hated by both Republicans and Democrats. They said Mineta is a PC "wh_r_" and they now view Bush the same as Mineta. They said in the future we must kick all such as Bush out of the Republican Party. They said they could not wait to hear Michael Savage blast Bush on his show today.
Those are just some of the non-anti-Bush responses on this thread you began. Yeah, right. No anti-Bush here.
I'm stopping before I say something more that I would regret.
I agree with Rush that so-called 'independents' are just afraid to take a stand. I LIKE being a partisan.
As for the insults...........could you fellows PLEASE come up with something more imaginative that "Kool-aid drinkers."
It's tired, it's stupid, and it's dead wrong. If you talked to 100 Republicans, you would find 100 gradations of views on issues. There's no Kool-aid drinking going on here.
And in addition, President Bush has done more for conservative causes than any President in my lifetime............and I was born in the 40's. Whether or not he meets your qualifications is irrelevant.
Nice talking to you, mr 'independent.'
Apparently the President thinks he is.
On this we can agree. He is conservative in most areas, but not all, and he is the man that God has chosen to lead us through these dark hours.
President Bush has asked for wisdom and discernment from the Lord for every decision he makes, and has asked us to pray for him too (that includes THIS decision).
The reason I trust him, is that I trust HIM.
Washington Times July 23, 2004 Editorial:
The last thing this country needs is another terror attack from the sky. But that's apparently what the terrorists still have in mind, if recent reports are any indication.
"Flight crews and air marshals say Middle Eastern men are staking out airports, probing security measures and conducting test runs aboard airplanes for a terrorist attack," Audrey Hudson wrote yesterday in this paper. This, along with a troubling account of 14 Middle Eastern men behaving strangely on a flight from Detroit to Los Angeles, written by Annie Jacobsen, a writer for Women's Wall Street, paints a picture of a troubled U.S. airline system constantly being tested by terrorists, enticingly vulnerable and hamstrung by nonsensical transportation-security regulations.
Just 10 days after September 11, in fact, Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta made it clear that airlines may not discriminate on the basis of race during security checks. In addition, Mrs. Jacobsen reports, "During the 9/11 hearings last April, 9/11 Commissioner John Lehman stated that '...it was the policy [before September 11] and I believe remains the policy today to fine airlines if they have more than two young Arab males in secondary questioning because that's discriminatory.' " This isn't a hollow regulation: In the three years following September 11, United Airlines, American Airlines and Continental Airlines settled discrimination cases with the Department of Transportation for a combined $3.5 million.
When it comes to keeping a closer eye on men of Middle Eastern descent who have been almost exclusively responsible for attacks on airliners over the past two decades the airlines have their hands tied.
To be sure, government should always to be careful to avoid racial or ethnic profiling whenever possible. Stopping only black people during routine traffic stops, for instance, is a clear violation of basic civil liberties. But in the case of airline security, when the price of staying faithful to our ideals could be paid in hundreds or thousands of innocent deaths, and the infringement of civil liberties is so minor, common sense must prevail.
I heard this on the news. I was stunned.
Mineta in my opinion is moronic, I understood (sort of) why this president kept him on for the first trm, reaching out and all that stuff, but why now?
Mineta wants the air marshalls to wear suits when they are on duty, Am I missing something? Aren't they supposed to be undercover? WE won't even talk abouat his idea on checking passengers, you know babies , while the muslim goes on by.

My years and posts here clearly demonstrate that I'm absolutely NOT anti-Bush. With all due respect, your snide comments to me are really out of line. I'm expressing my opinion, and I give my reasons .. is that against some sort of unwritten rule? I certainly meant no harm. I'm truly sorry you've chosen to respond in this manner. God Bless.
Please be so kind as to remove me from your anti-Mineta ping list. You claimed the people objecting so strongly to Mineta are not anti-Bush. I just got through giving you comment after comment after comment made on this very thread by people who were vile in their remarks against the President, and it was clear they already felt that way but were drawn to post it here, very gleefully. You posted again to me without bothering to note that I just offered you proof of their anti-Bushism(a lot of them). So, to avoid a dialogue of the deaf, please don't continue to ping me. Thank you in advance.
I did not say you were anti-Bush. You claimed people who were on here all upset about Mineta were not anti-Bush. I gave you quote after quote from people on this very thread that were horribly anti-Bush. Once more you have ignored what I proved, and you conjured up something against me, supposedly directed against you, which I am innocent of. I asked you if you could read, because you claimed something that is plainly disprovable just by reading this thread. If you like, I could print out excerpt after excerpt instead of simply summarizing their anti-Bush statements, but that would not be fair to me.
YOU are not anti-Bush, but this thread is filled with people who are, and the retention of Mineta has been used as a springboard for histrionics and anti-Bush rhetoric.
Please don't ping me again either. Thanks.
Even a plastic ficus tree would be better than Norm.
Done.
Don't ping me to your pity party. You say your not anti-Bush but you sure as heck don't act like it, especially with that idiotic cartoon. Why not just get it off your chest that Bush is a moron. Whatever is bothering you, lets air it out. No sense keeping all that energy bottled up. I'm absolutely stunned that every supporter of Bush underestimates Bush just like the Democrats and the mainstream press.
Say what your really mean about the Bush administration. Let's get it all out in the open, and maybe we can deal with it one by one. Now is not the time for gutless comments.
Agreed.
Don't change the subject. The subject was about the AWB (which you brought up) and not CFR.
My opinions are on record here since '98 and easily checked. I'm sad that you have resort to mis-characterizing me to make your point. God Bless.
