No, there isn't a difference. It is not a human. If I destroy my car for art, for fun, or out of malice toward it (all without hurting any other person) it is my choice.

I just can't claim it for insurance.

You are comparing a living creature to inanimate objects. That is comparing apples to oranges. There is a difference, unless of course you consider a dog an object and not a living creature.

This is not an issue of semantics. No a dog is not a human being that is correct, but to have the callousness to kill a defenseless animal out of shear anger is appalling.

No it may not indicate what this person may do to a child or a human in the same situation, but are you willing to take that risk with another humans life.
