Hitchens has been making the same argument - the Left's hatred for America (and Western Civilization and Capitalism, etc.) is so deep that they will willing join the Islamists who despise everything the Left allegedly stands for just to help destroy the U.S. The Left is perfectly willing to sacrifice itself just see America burn.
