A side note, everytime Linus reads from the Bible about the true meaning of Christmas in the auditorium, I get a tingle in my spine and a warm feeling in my heart. Didn't know anyone else felt that way. That stunned me when I was but a lad, 30 + years ago.

The wistful conversation between Linus and Charlie brown at the wall comes close. I could relate to Charlie Brown's sentiment even as a kid. The whole thing is great art.
And don't forget the great score.
"Charlie Brown Christmas" is my favorite Christmas cartoon, with "The Grinch" a close second.

I know. It came out in Christmas of 1965, I was just a twinkle in Mom's eye that Christmas. B-) It is one of the most powerful specials. Peanuts is quite wholesome really and although I enjoy South Park a lot, it is good to go somewhere where you don't hear "potty mouths" all the time although if you're not easily offended and can take the crass stuff very well, South Park hits it on the mark most of the time too.
