Watermelon rind pickles are very sweet- they taste like candy!! :o)
I have never seen those pickles before - I'm not a connoisseur by any stretch, I just don't like dills either!!

That must be a southern thing...my step-mom has sent us watermelon 'pickles' before and you're right. Might as well call them pickled watermelon candy!
Her upbringing was in Alabama and Florida.
