December 7, 2004 -- GEORGE Carlin ended his relationship with the MGM Grand in Las Vegas with a devastating diss the other night.
The caustic comic finished his four-year run with a dark set that included riffs on suicides and beheadings, and made it clear that he couldn't wait to get out of "this [bleeping] hotel" and Sin City.

That IS one of the funniest scenes ever. In fact, when that movie comes on the Comedy Channel, I make a point to see that specific scene.
He's pi$$ed because the entire Hollyweird crowd stole his act
and now his material isn't even "edgy" enough for the Disney Channel.
I think that Carlin has had a great career, made us all laugh and think a little. So the guy has one bad show. Big deal. Maybe the MGM was dicking him around, or maybe the vicodin and wine was screwing with him. He is Irish, after all. That much intellect doesn't come free. Give the guy a break. How many of you player-haters have had at least one or two days at work when you though, "Oh geez, I acted like an ass!" I bet everyone has had at least one or two bad days on the job. He did not hurt anyone. He is still the funniest old-school comic on the scene.
Carlin's something of a libertarian on many issues, but leftist-populist on others. Odd combination. Sometimes the guy's hilarious and right on, other times he's waaaaaay off base. I have some of his albums and enjoy them, others I avoid.
Kinison put Carlin to shame. In fact, when Kinison came around was about the time Carlin started to suck.
