My daughter (a CPA for Peregrine Financial) works in the building across the street from the bank. She moved to a restaurant on the lowest floor. However, the people in the restaurant have been told to stay where they are because of falling debris...she was told by the Fire Dept. that she may be there most of the night. The 30th floor now has significant fire. Some smoke is coming from the 28th floor.

I'm a meteorologist, by the way. The wind in Chicago is southeast, blowing thick smoke over the city. It's lucky the temperature is above freezing (and should stay that way until tomorrow night). Winds will get considerably stronger in the morning, with gusts 30-35 during the day.

At least she's safe, that's a good thing.

Channel 2 reporting now people stuck on the 39th floor. They can't be having fun up there with the smoke going up the stairwells and everything else in that building.

Fire Dept. setting up to stop the fire on the 32nd floor now. 31 has no water pressure, 30 is on fire. At a minimum 31 is going to burn.

32 has our Personnel Department in it, and I know a bunch of those people. I hope they got out.
