How many ranked teams did Cal Play?

Understand the sediment here - But one could argue in circles going simply by that - They beat who were in front of them and they played well enough to be ranked #4 up until earlier tonight -

And who is Texas biggest win over?? Texas A&M?? Who seems incapable of winning a big game...period..

Bottom line the BSC system is flawed....and Cal got the shaft because of the system......But then again, so did Auburn (they had the toughest schedule of the bunch).

Sep 4 at #72 Air Force W, 56-14
Sep 11 vs #83 New Mexico State W, 41-14
Oct 2 at #23 Oregon State W, 49-7
Oct 9 at #1 Southern California L, 23-17
Oct 16 vs #31 UCLA W, 45-28
Oct 23 at #74 Arizona W, 38-0
Oct 30 vs #14 Arizona State W, 27-0
Nov 6 vs #51 Oregon W, 28-27
Nov 13 at #102 Washington W, 42-12
Nov 20 vs #58 Stanford W, 41-6
Dec 4 at #63 Southern Miss W, 26-16

Hmm...2-1 against the top 25. And 26-16 against a #63 team is thoroughly unimpressive. A one-pont win hosting the #51 team is perhaps worse.
