The Ten Commandments define God's nature, not man's. None of His nature is invalid or invalidated with the coming of Jesus to live amongst us and redeem us from our fallen state.

The Ten Commandments also define our behavior toward God are are Commandments to us, not Him.

For instance, when God says, "Thou shall not commit adultery", He is talking to "Thou".

We better understand Him through what we are commanded to do. They do not directly tell us who He is but what He stands for and demands His creation abide by.

Even when He says we are to have no other gods before Him, it does not tell us who He is per se.

I never stated that God's nature was invalidated in any way because Christ lived on Earth. I merely stated that the "Law" is, in its simplest form, still valid.

But that "Law" need not even be with a faith as Abraham's. Because no one needs the Ten Commandments when you already love God with all your heart as he did. This is in part how Christ could give the "greatest" laws and not suggest the Ten Commandments were equal in necessity.
