This should only apply after the campaign war chests of the senators is debited for the amount.

Anyone notice how much democrats have begun fighting over money? That means that lobbying jobs are drying up, which is a good thing.

I agree. Politicans used to be able to keep any left over campaign funds for their own private use after they left office, but I believe that law has been changed. I'm not sure, though, and I'm too busy (lazy) to try to find out. If anybody knows for sure, please correct me.
