Nick and Jessica Simpson may have been gritting their teeth through their smiles during the taping of the ABC hit variety special series 'Nick and Jessica's Family Christmas.'

I'd fallen asleep with the television on and thought the above-mentioned "Christmas Special" was simply an unusually putrid figment of my subconscious. Now I find out it's REAL. Sheesh, even the notoriously bad "Star Wars Christmas Special" has got to be high art in comparison.

How about 'The Muppets Christmas Special?' At least they had the judges in the balcony to toss off one liners..
