I'm very interested in the algorithmic theory behind artificial intelligence, so hopefully after some reading I'll be better versed on the subject.
For years, I have believed that the inception of the universe can be described by geometry and algorithm (which would be part of the Fecundity Principle) - perhaps these books will provide a lead which will "go to" this quest ...

Hutter is one of the very best writers on that topic; I would recommend him over the few others that also publish on that matter. (Heh, which is why I post *anonymously* here; I don't think the other guys are freepers, but they would ID me in a heartbeat and I would never hear the end of it...)

Heh. Yeah, it is pricy, in part because math books of this type have very limited print runs, only a few thousand copies for a popular one typically. The publishers give me copies of their books, which makes me very, very lucky...
