His name is too lengthy to ping every time,
otherwise I would.
Nite to you.
Tomorrow it's SP's side.
Rest up.
OK!
Thanks.
I'll go have a look!
"See" you tomorrow.
Oh good!!
Good Lord. For some reason this whole story just stays with me. I think of Laci's mom, the bodies they pulled from the ocean - she didn't even have the peace of seeing them whole in their caskets. Man, oh man.
Why can't these men just get up and leave? Why not just get a divorce?
On CTV..I said after the verdict that I was not going to argue the evidence, correct someones facts and replay the same things over and over..
I actually stopped doing that some time ago..but that ridiculous thread here did let me play a bit with pretentious posters who know neither the facts or the law.
My post to the writer recommended the Globe as an outlet for his writing..
Thanks for the link..I'll use it tomorrow..although I am less interested in the defense.
"Why can't these men just get up and leave? Why not just get a divorce?"..
The WHY is what gets us hooked on a case like this..We simply cannot conceive of murder as a choice!
I may have studied about narcissism and psychopaths, child support payments and family expectations and... at the top of the list desire for freedom ..but I will never really understand.
"Every morning when I get up I cry," she added. "It takes me a long time just to be able to get out of the house ... I miss her. I want to know my grandson. I want Laci to be a mother. I want to hear her called mom."
My husband is a medical doctor, with a 30+ year practice in psychiatry. I asked him tonight if psychotherapy can relieve Sharon of her rage and angusih. He told me that "time" always lessens heartbreak, but that some degree of rage will always remain with Sharon because SP let Sharon and the whole of Laci's family dangle in the wind for 116 days.
To top it off, then Sharon had to deal with Laci's body not being intact.
Despite being washed ashore (and obviously in the water for 116 days) it never occurred to Sharon that Laci and her little baby would not be found "whole." THAT rage cannot be erased.
She may learn to "put in a place" a long time from now..and only have come roaring back on occasion..but it will never go away..It is a companion she will have to live with...
I cannot fathom the rage I would feel..Sorrow and despair over loss, yes..but loss because of murder or especially murder by someone you trusted..beyond my comprehension.
God bless them.
In purgatory???

FYI: While at work, because of this new trend micro officescan they installed at work, employmentwide.....I can't be puttering as I did.....;o( It tracks all...... yikes!! Good thing I don't go to places that are @)&%)(#%&.....lol..
Don't worry, Jackie. I didn't think you were calling me a troll. I've been called a lot of things, but never a troll!!
Went back over to that thread this morning. Wowsers. The poster in question just can't manage logical thought. There are two things that really struck me (there were more, but I only dealt with a couple of them): he believes that there was no finding of "homicide" in the case, so therefore no murder case should have been brought forward.
So, I found the article where the coroner made a finding of death by homicide after the autopsies. Aha! That doesn't matter, acording to our friend, because a coroner is a political position, as opposed to an ME (which I pointed out is an appointed position, appointed by a POLITICIAN). Therefore, the finding is simply pro forma, and not reliable. And, since the body wasn't intact, no medical cause of death could be found, and an ME didn't examine the bodies, so no finding of "homicide" could be made.
It gets better. The "official" date of death was the day the bodies were found, April 14, so Scott is off the hook. His words. I pointed out that a reasonable estimate could be made of the approximate time of death based on decomposition. No answer to that one.
Just unbelievable. And the guy is a "writer". And, he thinks that posting his article for free here is doing us all a favor.
I didn't ask him if he was off his meds or on drugs. I'm sure he would have considered that a personal attack, since he considered what I said that if his article was an example of his ability to think and reason, then I wouldn't be buying any of his books. Pretty vicious attack, eh?
Not sure about work but at home a proxy like Anonymizer solves that problem easy enough.
