Two couples are hospitalized in critical condition with botulism poisoning after undergoing Botox wrinkle-removing injections at a Florida clinic......
All four people are on ventilators and being fed intravenously — one couple in Florida and the other in New Jersey, where they had gone to visit relatives for Thanksgiving, said Palm Beach County Health Department spokesman Tim O'Connor.
"We're awaiting lab diagnoses to confirm whether the Botox injections caused the botulism," he said.
Botox manufacturer Allergan said it is cooperating with health officials to determine whether its products had been sent to the clinic, the Advanced Integrated Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.
The unidentified man and woman hospitalized in Florida — who are both in their 50s — had Botox injections last Wednesday and were admitted to Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center late Friday, O'Connor said.
Dr. Charles Schallop, the neurologist treating them, told the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel the two said they felt weak the day after the treatment and went to the hospital when they started having trouble breathing.
Schallop said they told him a doctor at the clinic and his girlfriend received Botox injections on the same day, fell ill and were hospitalized in New Jersey.
Schallop said he suspects all four had been given Botox from a "contaminated vial."
New Jersey health officials acknowledged that two Florida Botox patients have been hospitalized with botulism poisoning, but said there's not yet been any confirmation that the cosmetic treatment was to blame.
The Advanced Integrated Medical Center was closed yesterday.......Bach McComb, an osteopathic physician and one of the clinic's founders, had his license suspended last year by Florida state health officials after he was accused of improperly prescribing narcotic painkillers that may have contributed to the deaths of some patients.

Comes at the same time Hollywarped individuals are having reactions to injections designed to fill wrinkles, that was given at house parties, in what is now deemed to be an unregulated medication by an unlicensed individual.
Shawn, Larry King's wife is said to have developed an unsightly growth on her lip from the shots, and also had her cheeks, temples, ears, and other areas, treated with the stuff.

Botox is manufactured using the TOXIN from the botulinum bacterium. Maybe the vials were contaminated with the actual bacterium, which could then multiply once inside the body, and thus produce a far greater quantity of the toxin as compared to the fixed amount in the injection.
You gotta be nuts to put that stuff in your body.

Or perhaps the toxin wasn't diluted enough at the lab before it was put into the vial, so there was enough of the toxin present to adversely affect those poor people...

My brother is involved in the services industry for the rich a piggish in Manhattan (where a lot of the Hollyweirds live), and you wouldn`t believe some of the stories he tells me about some of these idiots. He said one of the things they like to do is have a "botox party" where a group of women or extremely effeminate vain men (like Kerry) get together at someones place and a doctor comes over and injects these idiots like heroin addicts in a drug den. Can you imagine? "Oh Karen look, you`re drooling out the side of your mouth just like me" "Wow this is so cool!" A freggin` botox party. How high on the boredom scale do you have to be to do something like that?

It`s insane isn`t it? Whatever happened to nice Tupperware parties? Now it`s "Let`s inject toxin into our freggin` face" parties. "Mommy, how come all your friends can barely talk?" Teresa Heinz is one of those. If you ever watched her, the only thing that ever moves on her face is her mouth, and just barely. She always has the same expression on her face, always. That woman could get slammed in the face by a mack truck and she`d probably think it was a mosquito bite.
