Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit" (James 5:16-18).

Heavenly Father, as You did with Elias, we pray you will hear the prayer of all who gather here. We pray for President Bush, his family, our nation, and our great military men and women who are fighting to keep this nation free and safe. Dear Lord, be with their families also, as they are making a great sacrifice also.

We ask these blessings in Your Son's Precious Name, Amen.
