Long ago the prophets foretold the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We come before You today to thank You for this season in which we celebrate His birth, and for the loving compassion You showed toward us by sending Him to be our Saviour and King. May Your Name be praised in the heavens and in all the earth and may the gift of Jesus be received by all..
We know that we are undeserving of Your love, Your mercy, and Your amazing grace. Thank You, Father, for being our God of long-suffering and patience, Who teaches us through the Word. Thank You for being our God Who speaks to us and comforts us through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We ask that the Spirit would speak clearly to our President Bush, and that his heart would be filled to overflowing with Your wisdom and truth. May he always know that You are with him, Lord, and that You will direct his path. Please cover him with Your feathers and let him safely trust in You. Help him to put on Your truth as his shield and buckler. Thank You for the courage he has shown throughout his presidency and for the strength that he continues to display with Your help. We are so grateful, Lord, that the plots and schemes of the wicked were uncovered in his recent trip to Colombia and that You protected him from the devil’s hand. We confess Your Word which tells us that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, for this is our President’s inheritance as a servant of the Lord, and his vindication is from You. Thank You, Father, for Your wonderful watch care over him and his family. We know that You are his strength, his shield, his stronghold, and his sure defense. Thank You for allowing him to dwell in the shadow of Your wings.
Father, please fill our military leaders and troops with an unwavering commitment to You and to the preservation of the freedoms enjoyed by the people of this nation. We pray that those who hate You would never be allowed to rob us of our freedom to love and worship You. Guide our troops, Lord, and help them to be strong against the true enemy. Be with every soldier and every family awaiting the safe return of their loved one. Grant great success to our troops in Iraq, Father, and be their leader every step of the way.
We humbly pray that our continued focus during this Christmas season would be upon You, Father, and upon Your Son, Jesus Christ. Yes, we have much to make ready, much to do, but help us, Lord, to remember that Precious Baby, born in a faraway place so long ago. May we keep Him in our hearts as we celebrate throughout the year, the love that came down on Christmas Day. In the Name of Jesus, our Beloved Savior and King. Amen.
This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Thank you Heavenly Father, Exalted God, for salvation in Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. It is You, and only You, who places the kings and takes them away. Thank you so much for giving us President George W. Bush. Keep him faithful to You at all times Lord, keep him humble and submitted to you so that You can exalt him and cause him to flourish.
Please continue to go before and behind our military forces as they fight terror in various places. Let Your Gospel flourish also in the places they liberate.
Abba, Father, we cry out to you for our nation. Please, please keep wickedness and corruption far from our elected offices. Please bring evil deeds to light so they may be exposed. Please bring revival to us, our churches and our nation. Oh Father, that we might repent of our heinous sin of abortion, and have it entirely outlawed very soon.
We humbly ask also, Father, that you would raise up millions and millions to pray on May 15, that the incense of prayer would ascend to You from the saints of every nation, and that You would be pleased.
