I found the source a believable source. Her Christianity seemed authentic and of significant integrity. I had no reason to doubt her word to me about anything.
But, hey, I can understand that you seem to have a pattern of not trusting others. Many people are like that. Evidently you survive the hazards of that well enough.
I'm still rather confident of my ability to discern trustworthy people.
Besides, her experiences weren't all THAT different from a lot of other people's experiences--just a bit more specialized and unusual as might be the case given her father and his relationship with Einstein etc.

I'd have thought you'd at least have heard more from your environment.
As I recall, some claim the actual R & D and even deployment funding is much, much, much more than that.
But then that gets into some REALLLLLLY strange contentions about funding sources and very strange goings on.
I certainly don't know where the truth lies in all that. I do believe the public has been bilked in a list of ways for a LOT of very black projects for at least the last 50 years--projects which have yet to see much light of public awareness at all.
It has something to do with "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves."
Or, as others have said, "Don't trust anything you hear and only half of what you see."
Oh, I think I live within the parameters of that addage well enough.

I an understand. When one doesn't have tons and tons of personal associations and data to consider, one has to make emotional broadsides out of one's rigid biases. Makes a kind of sense.

However, considering that in some terms, we haven't owned them since at least 1950 . . . it's an interesting issue.
Thankfully, compared to what others of our kind have fielded, we've done pretty well at owning the skies and I'd like to think we'd continue. We have the capacity.

And the F-22 is needed to replace the F-15, which is beginning to show it's age.
The F-14 has needed to be replaced for awhile, but no workable design had been forwarded to do so yet.
The F-16 also needs to be replaced.
Basically, all that nice new neato tech can't be installed in the 'tried and true' workhorses.
Wanna know why?
The generators aren't gutsy enough.
And the wiring couldn't handle the load either.
In the end, stripping and refitting an F-15 to use the electronics suite from an F-22 would cost the same as building a brand new aircraft.
