fortunately, democrats can't count and didn't steal (create) enough votes in King County.

Should have waited for Kitsap to report, then they would have had a target. (Only slightly kidding.)

12:48 PST OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) -- Republican Dino Rossi came out ahead of Democrat Christine Gregoire on Wednesday in the recount for Washington governor, but Democrats are expected to demand yet another recount.

I don't get it, it looks like Gregoire has more votes in the recount column than Rossi. What am I missing?

You're missing Kitsap County. Until it reports results officially, it has zeroes in the recount column.

The current totals in the recount column have Gregoire up by 1,487. Pre-recount, Rossi won Kitsap by 1,563. Assuming the unofficial results are correct and the Kitsap recount will shift to Gregoire by 34, that will leave Rossi with a net margin of 1,529 in Kitsap... and 42 statewide.

Westlake Plaza would be a good place to stay away from this afternoon.

Maybe the DUmmies will gather at the Federal Building to provide my afternoon entertainment!

The King county people have manually handled enough ballots during the "enhancement" process [a process blocked in the courts in San Diego] to know if they can overcome a minor lead through a hand count.

I don't think Rossi will be able to survive a hand recount with anything less than a lead of several hundred votes.

There will be a "hand something", but it may not really be a recount.

Dirty does not = smart. Don't worry, before the day is out, King County will suddenly "find" even more votes than Snohomish County "found" yesterday.

Kitsap is pretty republican. Which means WE have a target. LOL.

Latest from Seattle's Komo4 tv:

"Gov's Race Recount: With 38 of 39 counties reporting, including King, Gregoire has now gained 185 votes total. Rossi's lead is now at 76 votes. Kitsap posts around 2:00, but sources tell KOMO 4 News Kitsap will post a gain of 34 votes, plus or minus 1 vote to Gregoire. That would leave Rossi a final lead of 42 votes."

With Kitsap's old differential, I see Rossi by 76. Hand recount coming up, I'm sure.

KItsap's old differential will be replaced at 2 PM. Unofficial word is +34 for Gregoire from Kitsap.

The rightmost column is the number of votes gained during the recount.

Come to NC if you want to learn how to steal an election. The State Board of Elections is considering a NEW statewide election for the Commissioner of Agriculture seat. The Republican (Troxler)leads by just over 2,000 votes. However, there are 4,000 missing vote from conservative Cabarrus County. They are using this to justify a new election in March.

Now THAT'S how you attempt to steal an election! The republican leading by over 2,000 votes and claim that 4,000 missing votes in CONSERVATIVE Cabarrus County hurts the Democrat!! Unreal.

This confuses me....

Once again, Kitsap County has not yet reported official results and so is not included in that total. Rossi won Kitsap on election day by 1,563. Unofficial results indicate a 34-vote swing to Gregoire in Kitsap, giving him a margin of 1,529, which overcomes Gregoire's current 1,487 lead by 42 votes.
