The Supreme Court of Ukraine has rejected a complaint from Viktor Yushchenko, Ukraine’s opposition presidential candidate, about violations by the Central Election Commission.

Yushchenko who proclaimed himself president on Tuesday said the commission had committed violations while counting the votes in the second round of the elections on Nov. 21, ITAR-TASS news agency reported.

The court stated that Yushchenko’s complaint did not correspond with the Ukrainian law on elections “by its form and content,” the agency reported, citing the court’s ruling.

The commission has not yet published the official information on the election results. However, with over 99 percent of the ballots counted, it said that current prime minister Viktor Yanukovich had won the race.

There were a number of reports of various violations during the elections.

Yeltsin was a choir boy compared to Kuchima.

and no I don't mean in his youth although he was certainly a criminal then too. Yanukovich is a mafia soldier controlled by his bosses in Moscow.

Come on, be fair to poor guy. Yanukovich might be a gangster, but his boss is in Donetsk, not Moscow and his name is Renat Ahmetov...
