Hollywood and it's films prosper by being able to build world's of pretend. Now we all know how hopelessly leftist so many actors are by their public utterances and public denigration of our President and our military in a tough, tough war. This makes it a lot harder to watch their films, relax and sit back and enjoy the celluloid fantasy for 90 or so minutes. How could they support and campaign for such a Vietnam fraud as John Kerry? Obviously, because these Hollywood pretenders bought into the 30 year long world of pretend that John Kerry constructed from his three months in Vietnam.
They were conned by John Kerry so they tried to use their "star power" to get America to vote for him. Only problem is, Americans were not conned by John Kerry. Are not as gullible as the Hollywood and music business elite

Me, I've been taking solace with Netflix. I've discovered Akira Kurosawa's films. He may very well be my favorite live-action film director.Believe it or not, a really great "Double Feature" for a very long night at home was Kurosawa's "Ran," and "Stop Making Sense," by the Talking Heads (the movie). Of course, it helps if you really liked the Talking Heads.

I can't abide Nicolas Cage. I don't think he has an ounce of charisma or stage presence. I could never understand why they keep making big budget movies with him. Then I found out his real name's Cuppola. Oh.But he was so great with Holly Hunter in "Raising Arizona!"

The Miami version isn't worth watching. That's because it stars David Caruso, who plays a brooding actor playing David Caruso.
The only upside to CSI: Miami are the women: Although if I hear Khandi Alexander call another corpse "baby," I'm going to scream. However, I really like the blonde "ballistics expert!" A beautiful blonde girl who likes guns! Where to I apply to get one of those?!?!?!

I haven't seen Raising Arizona, though I've certainly had it recommended to me. I've just never seen the guy in anything I liked. Which, come to think of it, is mostly trailers for movies I didn't go see because he managed to annoy me in the trailer. It's one of the best "odd-ball" comedies I've ever seen. Great supporting cast too. I think that it's the best thing ever done by the Cohen (sp?) brothers.

Sarandon is definitly poison for any movie.
There is some other movie which is going to have Barbara Stresand, did not catch the entire commercial but whatever it is, it is off the go list.

>Polar Express is financed by Steve Bing. He invested about 80 mil on it. So far, the movie has made 53 mil in its 13th day.<
My 15 year old and her friend went to see PE last weekend. They were bored by it and walked out. From what she told me, the movie strayed far from the book.

There was a post here indicating people walking out on Alexander the "gay" because it was so badly made and sexual content. Can anyone confirm?

. . . . They are CLUELESS that HALF the country hates the liberal agenda pushed in these arrogant vulgar movies. Just as the networks have been clueless about HALF the country hating THEIR liberal agenda (even as ratings plummet, they still don't grasp it). Hollywood needs a Fox. A different group of studios and actors that make good old-fashioned American movies. They would make a fortune.

It seems hollywood's conclusion is that there is not enough leftist drivel so they will be producing even more drivel, even more revisionist leftist history, and even more conservative bashing.

I must say I was surprised Hollyweird made it though. It's a war movie and it shows children (young boys growing up real fast) using guns. Little ones and big ones. Swords too. Oh my! Well, the director (Peter Weir) is Australian and the co-writer (John Collee) is Scottish. And the books the movie was based on were written by a Briton. Methinks that they would be able to avoid historical inaccuracies better than the Hollywood types, even if the movie was historical fiction.

let's keep up the pressure...imagine if Hollywood gives a best pic nod to Moore's treasonous Fakenhype9/11...you will see such a negative reaction from Americans towards this industry.
