And to follow, hundreds of shrill cries to 'boycott target'!!!!
Hey, boycott fans - how many of you are going to be out there ringing the bell for the salvation army????
What's Target? Is it a store?... I'll be looking for Stores with the SA Santa outside ringing the bell....That's the store that'll get my business.
No bell ringing here, but I always donate. This is just one more bump down the stairs into the cellar for Christ in Christmas. Retailers want it to be all about buying, not giving. One wonders what their solution will be once the "Holiday Shopping Season" is backed up all the way to January?
don't need to-- I donate to each and every one I see in my area.
Here's one for ya dude.
Thats plain Silly...you don't have to ring a bell to help ring up the money given to a worthy cause!
"Hey, boycott fans - how many of you are going to be out there ringing the bell for the salvation army????"
At one time the bell ringers were volunters. Nowadays they appear to be skid row types that have been hired.
I am! I signed up yesterday with my local S.A. I will start next week on my post.
Not shrill. I will just refuse to shop there for Christmas gifts this year. I have plenty of other choices.

I am not sure exactly what you are trying to say, but I will donate to the Salvation Army just as I always do. I may not ring the bell, but I help to fill the bucket.
While you sneer at the bell ringers it is they who make it possible for the Salvation Army to go where many charities do not. Even our brave men and women in uniform have had their needs and their families needs met by the Salvation Army.
I will be ringing this year at our local Wal-Mart. This is a first time for me. Hope it ain't too cold.
Target has a right to refuse the Salvation Army and it's fans have a right to boycott Target.
Screw Target, Circuit City and Home Depot.
I'll shop at Walmart, Best Buy and Lowes.
I'm a bit old to be out in the cold ringing a bell. But when I see someone doing it, I put money in.
More importantly, I am on their mailing list, and I write checks. I suspect that one of my checks would amount to as much as I could get by ringing a bell for a couple of days.
Tacky of Target, I think.
Sal Army is one of my favorites. And part of Christmas.
I was able to toss all my change into a bucket at Big Lots today.
Also got a nice Thanksgiving Centerpiece 75% off.
Our Republican Womens club and our church volunteer each year.
It's really quite enjoyable you get to meet a lot of really nice people.
I wouldn't know where to go to shop for Christmas if I didn't follow the sounds of the Salvation Army bells. No bells, no business from me. And yes, family members have been bell ringers. If you can't ring it do the next best thing, put money in it.
