I'm ready for the end of professional sports (as it is now)

As a kid growing up in the late 40's and early 50's, I agree. "WHEN IT WAS A GAME"........is lost and gone forever. Curt Flood's sacrifice made millionaires out of 250 hitters and pitchers with an era over 5.00 but there must be some middle ground between the spoiled rotten children playing sports today and the under contract players owned by the TEAM they played for.

Personally I believe NO GUARENTEED contracts, single year only with EVERYONE from Jordon in Basketball to Barry Bonds in baseball having to WIN their position every year, that is the way it used to be and IMHO still should remain.

If they did that, players would know their career could be over with one injury and would play very inihibited thus ruining the game.
