[history]
There is an unusual feature to the second Bush Administration that is extraordinarily important but has been almost entirely overlooked. For the first time in a half-century, a two-term presidency will end without sending out its Vice President to seek a mandate for succession at the next election. Vice President Cheney will not run for the presidency, and everyone knows it. When these eight years are over, the Bush-Cheney Administration will simply close up shop.

The article was written by Paul Gottfried, not Lew Rockwell or Justin Raimondo.

Any article featured on LewRockwell.com is subversive, as far as I am concerned.

"Any decent Republican candidate should be able to beat Hilly - she isn't the bogeyman her publicists insist she is" And without the weight of the Late MSM of the 90's to carry her water, as they did for her hubby, she will be much less than her publicists hope for.

Unless there is some unforeseen incident, I see the ticket as McCain & Condi.
A Female Clinton as POTUS?
Don't think the country will go for that over McCain/Rice.
But maybe.
This ticket would cut a few knots with one stroke.
1)Counter Hilda with the idea of the fist black VP.
1a)Also the first female Exec, albeit not the Pres.
2)McCain is not an object of hatred. (at least, not yet)
3)Hilda will find a centrist, possibly ethic VP, and he ain't a gonna be a NE lib or a useless appendage that can't help deliver his own state, ala Edwards.
*Alarming* to me would be Richardson, who WOULD pull Hispanics, and parts of the SW.
Condi would offset that pick by getting some more black votes, as well as woman voters, and although I doubt that will turn NY, it might turn NJ, and force the Dems to spend in their blue states.

You really know how to bum a gal out on a Monday morning!
Interesting data that I've just read up on.
Have to bring him down on my notch list. Thanks for the depressing update.

Yep. The GOP under Dubya has morphed into the Scoop Jackson Democrat Party. The Denocrats have moved left of McGovern. There is no conservative party, despite the ravings of Hannity and Limbaugh.
