No, there is a vast difference between a sharpshooter, trained to hit fixed targets from a set difference, and a sniper, trained to hit fixed or moving targets from much greater distances, with the responsibility for finding an adequate shooting point and concealing himself from view.
difference = distance
You can choose to believe in the magic bullet.
You stated he was a Marine sniper. He wasn't.
I have had training in homicide investigations and techniques, but I am not a homicide detective. I have had covert surveillance training and techniques, but I do not work for the CIA. I have taken multiple defensive driving courses, but I am not a test driver. I had some training regarding emergency medical techniques, but by no means am I a paramedic or a doctor.
Just because someone has had some type of basic training, does not somehow magically make them a professional at whatever they had training in.
An accurate statement would have been, Oswald had basic training in the Marines, that included some basic sniper training instruction, however he was not a Marine sniper. He was a Marine radar operator.
You knew what BSF meant.
I trust you read the entire thread.
Yes, I did read the entire thread, and the statement that Oswald was a sniper is simply incorrect.
That was Dale Myers on the program originally aired on ABC last year for the 40th anniversary.
Dale won an Emmy for that. Parts of the same simulation were also used on the Discovery Channel program last week.
It's subjective. For all the talk that he was a crappy marksman, he hit his target with a single bullet and the target obviously wasn't stationary.
You stated he was a Marine sniper. He was not.
Then along comes a mission pack where as Fat Teddy, you get to search for John Jr on a US battleship and fish him out of the sea, cremate him,and then throw him back.
Waiting....
Uhhhh, no. Watch it again.
The odds that JFK was killed by a lone gunman are about the same as the odds that Vince Foster died at his own hands in Fort Marcy Park.

Uhhh, yes. I've watched that film many, many times before you even born, son. Don't waste your time trying to tell me what I've seen.
Don't feel bad you fell short of your mark yet again. Practice makes perfect.
LBJ
People always seem to forget how close Jim Garrison was to getting a conviction for conspiracy against Clay Shaw for conspiracy to kill Kennedy.
