They had to bare it?! Geez, I knew Clinton was a dog but I never figured him to be a switch hitter. =;^)
I foresee a time, way down the road, when Chelsea Clinton will turn from the Dark Side and either secretly vote Republican or come out altogether as a Republican. Did you see the photos of her flirting with GWB at her dad's library ceremony the other day?
She has had some indiscretions as most young people do...but on the whole I see her as having turned into a well mannered and very smart young woman. I think there is hope for her...politically speaking.
Thank you
I agree! Thanks!
Toatlly uncalled for and rude. Anonymousierra is an overseas Freeper in good standing. His feelings for this country are well known but his English skills need sharpening...as do your reading comprehension skills and manners.
What a wonderful man our President is! Now, I hope he and his team work this out in case it happens again. I do NOT want his bold actions to be noted and used against him in the future - I won't detail here. BTW the sneer on the wife of the Chilean President Ricardo Lagos, and her arrogant husband who ignored it all (while no-doubt giving the orders to his thugs) must be dealt with in no uncertain terms. Retribution is needed for this garbage - before it grows more serious. We can thank the public viciousness and mutiny of men like Jimmah Carter and Bubba Clinton for a lot of the disresepct from foreign counties towards our wonderful Christian President.
The other guy in the "arm around the neck" picture has a yellow lanyard for his credentials. I'm thinking he's Chilean.
Maybe this will help clear it up, perhaps the man with the yellow lanyard is the 2nd agent:
According to Secret Service sources, the man Mr. Bush pulled through is a high-level agent and one of the president's personal favorites. The president normally has two agents near him at all times, but the second agent on the detail was not immediately allowed through. (post #70, by quilla)
Pray for W and Our Troops
Could be. But then the body language between the two seems odd: 'yellow lanyard's' arm reaching around and grabbing 'blue lanyard's' shoulder, and 'blue lanyard's' expression looking at 'yellow lanyard' seem a bit odd.
Though, 'yellow lanyard' certainly seems to be holding back the uniformed Chilean, so your explanation certainly is another (and plausible) scenario.
It's a mystery:) i
I imagine it'll be awhile before the Bushes want to go back to Chile, if ever!
Chilean police taking care of business.
Shut up, and listen to what President Bush has to say.
He could save your life.!
Here, let us help you achieve silence!
That was my thought exactly as I looked at those great pics. Here he was reaching into a mass of people totally unprotected. With proper coordination this could have been a disaster. Thank the Lord nothing happened here.
It appears they were holding back more than one Secret Service Agent. If you notice the photos with the gentleman being held back by two men, he does not have a mustache, whereas the man the President assisted had a mustache.
Over at DU they are making fun of this incident. They apparantly think he should have just continued on and not dealt with it. Typical liberals. No core convictions except stealing votes.
Nick Trotta Story. Although his picture in this story doesn't look like the one cited in the story today.

Forgive C-note. He's a bit grouchy today.
BTTT
"From 6 World Trade Center, Trotta got to know what it was like in the Secret Service. Trotta's first experienced protecting America's leaders during a two-month stint with Presidential Democratic candidate Rev. Jesse Jackson in 1984. After that , he and his family moved to Italy and spent two years there working in conjunction with Italian authorities - with the Milan Italy Task Force."
Guarding Jesse Jackson would result in anyone wanting to move to another country.
If President Bush had been wearing his flight suit there'd be wailing and gnashing of teeth over there.
