The Vatican has been condemning homosexual "marriage" for a long time. What makes you think that this is the pope's first statement on the subject? It isn't; and the news story does not say that it is. By the way, speaking of people who are slow on the uptake: the Southern Baptist Convention actually praised Roe v. Wade when it was handed down! It took a long time before evangelicals joined the Catholic Church in being against abortion.

It's good to know that you Catholics are quicker on the uptake than the Southern Baptist Convention. Who knew their Evangelicals were so barbaric?{sarcasm off}

Move past all this and realize that Jesus Christ is the key, not being Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Episcopal ect.
