Scarborough is well on his way to oblivion.
His aide died, and that is sad.
But he did not have an affair with her, no one, not him, her, or her friends and family ever claimed they did, there is no fact, or evidence to even alledge they did.
It was simply liberals trying to create a rumor and posting it, and letting it go, with only "un-named sources" which is a nice way of saying, made up. His ex-wife didn't even give any weight what so ever to those false rumors.
Hannity does a lot of good - an I support him and his causes. But, he drives me nuts with two things he says over and over and over and over and over again.
"by the way"
"let me say one thing"
Count them!!! 20 plus times each on the radio EVERY day.
I have to turn him off sometimes. Rush is far more entertaining to me. Rush always seems to give a perspective on things that I didn't think of.
That's exactly why the left hates Hannity.
The man comes at you with the maximum blitz every down...He just wears down the left.
Scarborough? I like him. Different style then Sean, but when he feels strongly about an issue, get outta the way -- he's a runaway freight train.
Reaching young people is absolutely essential if the reps are to win future elections. The grumpy elders vote rep in great numbers.
What Sean is doing with youth is awesome!!!
I always thought the same about Scarborough until recently. He's really improved since I turned him off last year. He's now my favorite conservative on television.
Seems to me that's the kind of "wishful thinking" that was thrown around about Rush years ago too. We quit watching Joe Scarborough. We feel he SOLD OUT. Don't blame FOX for not giving him a job and don't blame Hannity for not promoting his book on his show.
Hannity IS a cheery cheerleader for all that is good. So what? Savage is crude and unpolished.
The only good thing abotu Scarborough is he aint Pat buchanan and he aint Chris Matthews.
Ann Coulter uses condescension brilliantly against those elitist that condescend. I bought her latest book 'How to talk to a liberal...' and look forward to reading it after hearing her on Hannity decimate Bob Beckell.
I like Hannity, he seems very true; very real. He's a bit of a boy scout, but at least he is the last man on earth who would be tarnished by scandal. Rush's painkiller problems, legal problems, divorce problems etc. make him such a target.
That having been said, I still prefer Rush. He has more charisma, he's funnier, and I agree, more intellegent. He just needs to get his personal life together.
Although Joe was getting to me too, he has improved tremendously. I'd give him another look once he recovers from the back problem. The night he and Larry Kudlow blasted Pat Buchanan was awesome. He also called the election for Bush when no one on MSNBC's (surprise) panel seemed to want to hear it. I hope you give him a second shot. I love Hannity too; it was on his website I found Treats for Troops (If you haven't seen the link, it will give you an opportunity to do a little something for our fine young soldiers, especially with Thanksgiving around the corner).
You must not have seen the split-feed version.
Dubya was angry, impatient and scowled while Kerry was speaking. Shades of Algore sighing ran through my head.
As in the Kennedy-Nixon debate (which people who heard it on radio said Nixon won) it was bad television and GW even made a few jokes about it in the subsequent debates and recovered as Algore never did.
I wish FOX WOULD hire Scarborough. I suspect his bad back may partially be problems working with Rick Kaplan.
Sean, on the other hand, either cuts them off at the knees or will say: I have to go... hurry up... I have someone "important" (insert names) waiting to come on and speak. Rush never, ever demeans or makes the caller feel they are rushed (IMO).
besides the "by the way" right before someone comes on or the cut off line "let me just say one thing" you are precisely right.
I have been listening to Hannity too long perhaps, and maybe the familiarity of him started to grate on me this past year.
I like what he stands for though, and he has a lot of the talking heads and power brokers listening to what he is saying....
Of course I saw it. I said I saw it.
If Joe did make a talking points comment I could understand it because I'm sure most of us got to the point where we could quote verbatim what Sean was going to say before he said it... I wrote once to tell him he needs a new spiel... Yes, I listen to him and his heart is in the right place... I do think Rush is more intellectual and I enjoy that even though it can get old, too.
And I'm more than well aware of President Bush's joking references to his expressions. I saw him say those things, too.
