"In your estimation, which are the GOP issues that you believe Sean backs which are "wrong"?"

I'm not that much of a Hannity watcher, but he usually hits at least one a night. I'll try to watch tonight and see what he does.

"And for the record, there is only one Rush Limbaugh. With all due respect to Hannity or anyone else, it's not fair to compare ANYONE to Rush."

I don't know. While Rush is great, there are other greats, too. Neil Boortz, though different than Rush, is very smart and very honest. I love Glenn Beck. There are numerous people who are good, conservative voices (well, Neil is libertarian, but that's close enough these days) who don't resort to cheerleading.

I love the fact that he pushes W, and has done a large amount to his own personal expense. I just wish he were a little more intellectually honest, because that's why more people don't listen in. He snags a lot of people who are new to politics, and that's good. But I wonder how long he can keep them without having the strong rational sense that El Rushbo and the rest have.

Didn't get a chance to watch Hannity today, but I did listen to him. He was a lot better than I remembered him. It's possible I just hit a bad string for him, or he straightened up his act.

This would be great PR if it was all a lead-up to Joe actually heading to Fox. Of course, I have no idea where they'd put him for a weekly show. Everything is booked from 10am to 7pm before the re-airings start. (pac time, from memory)... Maybe he'd do a weekend show. They could always give him the noon show - it isn't like we need to see Shep twice in one day, every day.

I have no doubt Joe may have mouthed off about Hannity - and maybe he said what he was quoted as saying - maybe it was less. LOL maybe it was worse. But MSNBC will still bring him more viewers than CNBC or CNN. If he was on CNN I doubt I'd tune in I hate their anchors so much.

Thanks for posting all that information.

Just for the record, I like them both--Hannity and Scarborough.

I also like Pat Buchanan, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Dennis Prager, Gordon Liddy, etc. I used to like the show Alan Keyes had on MSNBC a few years ago as well. O'Reilly is OK, but I'm not too crazy about him.

Right now, my favorite TV news/commentary shows would be Scarborough Country, Hannity & Colmes and O'Reilly in that order. On radio, it would have to be Laura Ingraham and Rush.

The point of all this is, of course all the people I mentioned above don't always agree with each other, and I don't always agree with all of them all of the time. But they're all good people and all generally on the right side of things. They each bring their own unique viewpoints on issues and each have their own way of expressing their viewpoints. Each one is an asset to the conservative cause.

It seems that some people like to engage in the "politics of personal destruction" whenever someone doesn't walk in lockstep with the Party line.

Just because Scarborough may question the President or the Republican Party on a few issues, some want to bring up liberal smears that were used against him in the past or bring up associations between him and disgraced politicians in an attempt to discredit him as a "true conservative."

Even Rush Limbaugh today was stating his disagreements with president Bush on some points regarding the Intel reform bill and illegal immigration. That doesn't mean Rush is not on "our" side. But I'll bet if Rush continues to voice his disagreement, we'll be reading posts about his drug addiction or failed marriages.

It's good to have a multitude of independent conservative voices out there and I wish we would at least have room in our "big tent" for all of them.

I wish Scarborough, Hannity, and all the others mentioned above continued success.

Treats for Troops is great. Have given up those shows...even Hannity. I listen to Rush during the day and watch Brit and the panel on Special Report. The rest is babble and shouting and while there is too much information overload these days...there's no sense in watching someone you just don't enjoy. Thanks for the Treats for Toops though. A great cause for sure. :)
