I grieve at the slaughter of innocents that has been going on in our country. Our church is actually doing something about it.

We are funding a center for women facing crisis pregnancies. We provide financial and moral support for women who chose not to have an abortion. I have supported such centers in New York as well. We recently took in a woman who had been thrown out on the street because she refused to have an abortion. We are waiting around for politicians to stem the tide of abortions.

Overturning Roe v. Wade will not stop abortions when women can take a plane to Canada or Mexico, have their legal abortion and be back in time to watch Jay Leno. The court battle will only make the layers richer and go on for decades. You can prevent abortions today by supporting a church or synagogue that reaches out to women facing crisis pregnancies.

True enough, but, a hell of a lot of abortions WILL be stopped by the simple expedient of stopping the state level abortion mills. The wealthy will obtain abortions, but many more will bear their children and give them over to adoption.

Some is better than none.

filly, It is wonderful that your church is doing so much "after the fact" to help unwed mothers.

I would suggest that church leaders and congregations should take a proactive approach.

Too many Christians fail to vote for politicians who support traditional moral values.

Too many Christians do not engage in activism by writing letter to their congressman and senators.

If more church leaders were aware of the LIBERAL MEDIA BIAS that they are watching, maybe more people in their congregations would wake up to it.

You want to know about liberal media bias read Bernard Goldberg's "Liberal Bias" and "Arrogance". Ask your pastor to read them, and while he is at it read "persecution" by David Limbaugh.
