Very scary, even if it's a misunderstanding. The arrangements should have been (and probably were) worked out ahead of time. Clearly, the president, particularly during a war against worldwide terrorists, isn't going into a large building filled with hundreds of people (including dozens or hundreds of anonymous "workerbees") without close Secret Service protection.

I wonder if the world's anti-americanism isn't getting completely out of hand to the point that it is endangering the president abroad, even at supposed "safe" locations and events.

It will be interesting to learn the details. I suspect everywhere our President goes has a forward team in place and a good measure of redundancy.

Still, the fact that some SS were held back raises questions. Hopefully, this isn't a "probe" into the President's immediate security by the evil guys. I wonder...

Yes indeed---let's hope it wasn't a rehearsal, or a test of the President's security.
