It is alarming--what the heck did the Chileans think they were doing, anyway? But "W" handled it just great.
The US President arrives with half the hemisphere big shots. Just the occasion for a terrorist incident. Everybody on edge. The Chileans must have practiced security for weeks, then freaked out for some reason and machismo wouldn't let them back down. Plus national pride. I'll bet GW will put in a kind word for Chilean security before he leaves.
