Alexander was not a pagan. That is the religion of the Latin Peons - the peasants of the country side. I stated that Alexander was a worshiper of the "Olympian" religion which is not a paganistic one (meaning simplistic superstitions).

And not some Jews - all of Judaisim. Not the "scholars of Judaisim" but their priests - rabbies and people honored Alexander as a sort of saint to the Jews. The Jews recognized Alexander as the fulfilment of Daniel's prophesy and honored him accordingly.

Did you know that Jesus Christ was not the first man to be called God's "Christ" but rather it was the Persain Shah Cyrus?

I didn't see either of the CSI or Cold Case episodes you speak of, but I doubt it if they could beat out a recent Law & Order. It was terrible. It was so badly written. It was so obvious that the writers decided to push a pro-gay marriage message first, then construct a lame plot around it that fits their cops and lawyers formula.

I hate it when these shows inject politics, because it is almost invariably leftwing. Conservative points of view are usually uttered by some cartoonish, idiotic character, or if spoken semi-intelligently by a main character they are usually countered by better-written liberal rebuttals that always get the last word.

It can really piss one off when you expect nothing but a good crime story, but instead have pointless throw-away remarks (like a CSI I saw where a bit character said "we don't believe in guns") that taint an otherwise politics-free episode, or have an entire episode be a thinly veiled hour long propoganda piece for the Left.
