Thanks for the link FITZ. I seem to remember that riot at that El Paso High School. I believe it might of been related to the Iraq War, which happened before it started.
None of those riots had to do with the Iraq war or any wars. Most had a big racial component to them. Maybe not that latest big riot --- it was over a change in the school schedule --- which caused the riot and a complete lockdown. They later had a meeting with the parents to explain the schedule change and they started to riot. Most of the gang warfare is between different hispanic groups --- as ironic as that might seem to some.
