I think it helps with the ribbons
I just hope those home on leave or not deployed see them and realize they have people who care about them
I also donate to the USO -- Warrior Fund and Christmas Gifts for Hospitalized Veterans etc etc
A ribbon is so whimpy. The symbol should be something else.
