Kerry Says UBL Tape Cost Him the Election (Geraldo with the Scoop in Little Rock!)

Senator John Kerry believes he lost the 2004 presidential election becuase of the video from Usama Bin Laden that surfaced just days before the November 2 election.

He told FOX News senior correspondant Geraldo Rivera that he believes the tape may have scared the American electorate.

Rivera spoke to Kerry in a holding room to the processional leading up to the formal opening of the Clinton Library in Little Rock, Arkansas.

'Tough luck, Senator,' Rivera said to Kerry, referring to the Democrats election loss.

Rivera said Kerry responded by saying, 'It was that Usama tape-it scared them.' [the American people]

Kerry said that the tape came out too late for his side to rebut and the Democratic campaign could not counteract in time for the Tuesday election.

What Kerry essentially said was the American people have faith in our President. I am thoroughly convinced the only way GB was not going to get re-elected is if he had done something completely and utterly stupid during the campaign.

I don't think the "Thurston Howell" label is fair..to Jim Backus, that is. The Backus character was:

a) Charmingly snobby
b) NOT a gigolo; he seemed to make his own money. And "Lovey" didn't give the appearance of being a wealthy heiress who herself married into money.
c) able to crack jokes that at least the Laughtrack laughed at. Kerry tries to tell a joke and the Laughtrack button mysteriously jams.

"Lurch" is definitely more appropriate. Btw, I believe I have located Kerry's long lost brother. In the admittedly gruesome and twisted cult favorite "Re-Animator", check out the character "Dr. Carl Hill".

If I remember correctly, the polling prior to the election indicated that the UBL had no affect. At least that was what was being reported. Half of the respondents blamed President Bush for not capturing UBL. Unless the the dems were purposely reporting misinformation or the poll results were significantly in error, Kerry's claims aren't based upon facts.
