That's rather defeatist. I'm certainly glad the Israelies don't share such a view. When they saw an unsecured border, they went to the ancient playbook of what's worked for 10,000 years - build a wall. It's a shame we've yet to learn from history.

Now if you and I were in charge, we'd whuppem, but we aren't unfortunately. Mexico needs to do its share but will it? I'm not a defeatist but a realist. I wish we were more like the Israelis and do what we have to do to keep our country safe. Of course, we are a tad larger than Israel so it's a bit easier for them to accomplish that.
