How about this, no illegal can be released from jail or prison until their transportation back to their country of origin has been arranged!

It shall be illegal for L.E. of any type to ignore the legal status of illegals.
If found they are to be deported, ASAP, and no more "hardship" or "refugee" exceptions.

We are spending Billion's, and far too many American lives, all to clean up the mess these invaders have made of their own countries.
It is time for them to prove they truly are "hard working", let them clean up their own countries, have the damn revolution if that is what it takes, WE DID IT, they can too!

Illegals shall be forbidden to reap any reward as a result of their entry into the U.S.
They bought a house, won a lottery, have pay due them?
Tough, it's all forfeit to the state they have invaded!
Maybe then the states would find some incentive to actually pursue them, asset forfeiture certainly has inspired them to pursue our own citizens!

The only way to really stop the invasion is to stop the incentives, make staying home and fixing their own countries more attractive than invading us.

BINGO!

National unemployment average is about 5% according this evening's news.

Dump the invaders and the rate would fall enough to force some industries to raise wages, wages paid to Americans!
Americans who would spend their money on OUR economy, instead of exporting it directly to Mexico and the rest of the world.

Somehow we are supposed to believe that we still have a "Free Market" economy, while wages and our balance of trade are being skewed with under the table labor and billions of dollars being exported?

Sorry, I am not THAT gullible!

There's a difference between nukes and illegal Mexican immigrants, although you wouldn't know from the overheated rhetoric of some on this forum.

There's also a difference between legal immigrants and illegal alien lawbreakers.

It's all hatred and bile.

I can't help it. I've always hated lawbreakers.

Just drove by a new "In-N-Out" burger joint.
They have a bill-board up advertising that they are hiring at $8.25 to start.

I know several Americans who are working more skilled jobs for less, even if they have been on the same job for several years!
I know some recent tech graduates who are working outside their field, for less than the offered burger joint wages, as the H1-B holders are getting the jobs they expected to have.

You can be virtually certain that nearly every job below general manager at that In-N-Out will be filled by young illegals with fake ID in the next few month's.

It is time to put a moratorium on ALL immigration, at least until we have a genuine handle on the current mess.

"Other measures we could take would be to create 'incentives' for American citizens to turn these invaders into the authorities"

Hmmm, probably cheaper AND more effective to offer some incentives for the invaders neighbors to turn them in before they can arrive here.

Maybe close off ALL immigration, except to those who have done something substantial to EARN the privilege of coming here?

Yea, I think I like that idea more than Bush's.

"And with them, prices"

That's OK, the drop in hidden cost for welfare, schooling for illegals kids, ER visits, prison cells, etc. will more than make up for any increase in prices due to mere wages!

BUNK!

Lots of credible and constructive suggestions, but the apologist and G.W. sycophants refuse to acknowledge them.

Looks like anything not suitably PC is rejected out of hand.

Think about it. Who would roof your house?

An American worker or a legal immigrant worker.

Hey more imigrants working legally in this country means more tax dollars I guess.

It also means more money spent on the government services these people consuming. Considering that they're poor, it's a good bet they consume more in govt. services than they pay in taxes.

retail and service-sector jobs that pay low wages and require little skill.

If there weren't a glut of foreign labor, employers would be forced to offer higher wages, and then Americans wouldn't pass these jobs over.

They are being welcomed as "mules" to export inflation, just as the drug trade uses "mules" to transport drugs or money.

Uh, you need to take a class in macroeconomics. It doesn't matter whether the money goes to Mexico or the US when there's free trade between the two.

Come on guy, get your pro-invasion rhetoric together.

It could also be called "pro-Mexico-merger", as that is the coming inevitable result of the continuous massive population transfers from the South, apparently endorsed by the W-personality-cult members on this forum.

the naysayers and complainers haven't really come up with workable plans for that.

How's this for a plan? Crackdown on employers of illegals. Set up an instantcheck system for employment verification at the DHS, just like we have for firearms purchases. If you want to give someone a job, you not only need to look at his papers, you've got to call the DHS to verify their authenticity. Failure to do so results in massive fines that will put you out of business. All employers have 180 days to verify existing employees on their payroll. Any employees whose papers don't check out must be reported for immediate deportation.

Proof of citizienship is now required for all government services, including public schooling. Public school administrators have 180 days to verify the legal status of all students currently enrolled. No new students may enroll without presenting proof of citizenship or permanant residency. Children of illegals are no longer granted citizenship.

Illegal aliens have 30 days to present themselves at a DHS facility for deportation, whereupon they get a free ticket to the destination of their choice in their home country. Any illegals caught thereafter will have to serve 1 year of hard labor in a Federal penitentiary before deportation to a remote destination of our choice in thier home country. I'd prefer flogging as a punishment because it's cheaper and more humane, but I doubt that would never pass.

If you make their lives difficult enough, and the consequences of gettting caught tough enough, they leave on their own.

Operation wetback managed to deport over 2 million illegals back in the 1950's. If we could deport 2 million back then, we can deport 12 million today.

It's not because Washington does not want it; it's because of lawyers and judges. The INS gave up fighting lawyers and judges. Even if Congress enacted new laws, the lawyers and judges would shot down any attempt to enforce those laws.

You are absolutely right. Which is why judges shouldn't be allowed to make deportation decisions and there shouldn't be hearings or appeals. No proof of legal status? You're outa here! Period. End of discussion. DHS employees should be empowered to make such decisions on the spot.

Uh, reality check; they aren't buying. They are spending the money there.

Tancredo is the best guy in the government, but you won't support him because you're a Utopian dilettante.

Couldn't agree more about Tom and I do vigorously support him, except on this.

You'd rather grumble on your porch in a rocker whittling your turds than do anything proactive.

Tsk Tsk Tsk. You have no idea what I do.

Doesn't matter. If they spend dollars in Mexico, US export demand goes up, which means prices in the US go up.

"I'm a unite'er and not a divider" is a singularly republican disease..
That disease is and will ROT the republican party..

Democrats are too realistic to fall for such clap trap..
They(democrats) know who their enemy is and seed this disease in republicans whenever they can by lovingly embraceing RINOS, like Mclaim and Spectre.. who are the head of this "BOIL".. in the republican party.. Hmmm, or is BUSH himself the head.. no matter it should be LANCED and drained...

The only reason the jobs are low paying is because there's a large number of illegals willing to do them. In other words an artificial and undesirable increase in available labor. Remove the illegals and the wages will go up.

You are exactly right.

Most of these illegals come here and leave their family back in Mexico where the cost of raising and providing for a family is much cheaper.

A bunch of them will pool their money and live in a trailer or an apartment and split the cost. That's why they can work so much cheaper.

They also don't have to pay income tax, social security tax, or state income tax, or property taxes, or house insurance, or auto-insurance, or buy car tags, medical insurance, etc: that the American citizen has taken out of his check, or has to pay trying to provide for his family that's living here.

Six or seven American dollars will by a lot more necessities in Mexico than they will in Dallas, LA or New York.
